In response to the dverse prompt to write a poem using repetition (thanks Jilly). I had the first 3 verses for a while..the prompt spurred me to finish the poem!

Excellent! Do you also write the music? You are a lyricist extraordinaire! Love the subtle but mammoth changes as it moves into the later stanzas. I’m terribly impressed by this; thank you for sharing your talent.

That’s very kind of you Jilly, much appreciated. My music skills are rudimentary, I do play around with chord sequences to get phrasing right. This is great, not only the way you used repetition but in how you used the opposites to create tension… we cannot always be in the middle, but need those poles to coexist don’t we?

i am reminded of how folk songs were created reading this, the wisdom gathered strung like beads of a rosary that i could meditate upon and feel its energy as the feelings deepened
