Hierarchy
Know your place in society
that used to be a thing
trades around the back
no room at the inn.
Now we have an app
to tell us where we’re at
to locate us, not place us
No, there ain’t no app for that.
The challenge over at dverse is to write a quadrille (44 word poem) about “place”.
I love the sass of this! Well done!

Love it, Jim. I agree that our digital devices put our places increasingly under the watchful benevolent eye — yeah, right! — of Big Brother. Some like to feel right in their hierarchal positions, but I’ve yet to find a box/title/position that will hold me.

Keep avoiding those boxes, Lisa!

True. We are hyperaware and yet lacking self-awareness.

So very true. I like your distinction between society place and location.

Yes, it seems we fine-tuned the wrong things.

Well, that’s a plus! I don’t want to be placed, especially by some know-it-all app!!
