Haiku written in response to a comment by the incomparable Steve Simpson.

it’s summer here, Steve
keeping the syllable count
as low as I can.

    … and thank you again Jim. You’re right about summer syllables. Here on the flipside, those of us who happen to have reptilian blood move very slowly in the winter weather, and I am distinctly lizard-like.
